Your PDF contents stay on your device.
Free and Pro PDF tools process document contents in your browser. A Pro account is only used to identify your subscription and restore paid access on another browser or device.
Local processing is the default.
The website, login and billing use internet services, but your PDF contents are not uploaded to eggPDF for processing or stored in your account.
Account only for Pro access
If you use Pro, your account tells eggPDF who has paid so your Pro access can follow you to another browser or device. The account is not used to process or store your PDFs.
Your PDFs stay on your device
Free and Pro process PDF contents locally in your browser. eggPDF does not upload your PDFs for processing and does not store their contents in your account.
What happens to a selected PDF?
Your browser reads the file into memory after you select it. eggPDF creates the result in the same browser context, then creates a local download.
What does local not mean?
The eggPDF website, Pro login and Stripe billing still use internet services. Local processing refers to your PDF and image contents. Those document contents stay on your device.
What does a Pro account store?
The account stores identity and access information needed to recognize your Pro subscription. It is not a document storage account and does not contain your processed PDFs.
Encrypted PDFs
eggPDF can add supported local password protection. Tools that cannot safely open an already encrypted PDF reject it rather than bypassing its protection.
