Your PDF contents stay on your device.
eggPDF's core merge and split tools run in your browser using JavaScript libraries. The selected PDF contents are not uploaded to an eggPDF PDF-processing server.
What happens to a selected PDF?
Your browser reads the file into memory after you select it. eggPDF uses pdf-lib to create the merged or split result in the same browser context, then creates a local download.
What does “local” not mean?
The eggPDF website itself still has to be delivered over the internet. “Local processing” refers specifically to the PDF file contents used by the core tools. We deliberately avoid the broader and inaccurate claim that the product uses “zero servers.”
Analytics and third-party resources
The P0 baseline includes no third-party analytics script and no externally hosted web fonts. This keeps the initial production footprint intentionally small and easier to audit.
Encrypted PDFs
Password-protected or encrypted PDFs are currently rejected with a clear message. eggPDF does not bypass encryption.
