Does eggPDF upload PDFs to merge them?

No. For the Merge tool, the PDF contents are read and processed in browser memory. The website itself is delivered over the internet, but there is no eggPDF server-side PDF merge processor in this flow.

What happens with large PDFs?

Browser memory is the limiting factor. eggPDF warns for large files and applies a per-file safety limit rather than silently attempting an operation that may crash the tab.
